Trade Shows
The Silver Needle will not be participating in any of the TNNA trade shows in 2010 for the following reasons:
- Our expenses as exhibitors continue to rise as retailer attendance continues to decline. Our current retailers are concerned about the cost of attending these trade shows, the lack of new designs in many exhibitors’ booths, and that their money could be better spent on inventory rather than airline tickets, hotel rooms, etc.
- Trade shows are no longer the only way to present yourself to the market. We feel we have an attractive website as well as a print color catalog which is continually updated as new designs are added. It is interesting to note, we have acquired more new retailers through our website than through trade shows.
- To ensure availability of inventory (both current and new designs), we will now present our new designs in May and November each year, well in advance of the two big shows in Columbus and California.
