FINISHING SERVICES

Silver Needle has been finishing stitched needlepoint projects for more than 30 years. Whether or not the canvas was designed by or purchased from us, we are happy to complete your project.

Our talented finishers can fabricate magnificent pillows or purses, practical scissor or eyeglass cases, elaborate Christmas stocking or ornaments, and any other needlepoint project you may have. (Because of difficulties shipping, we urge you to use local craftsmen for framing and upholstery.)

We are happy to call and discuss and provide a price quote on any finishing you send. We generally ship Priority Mail and charge your Visa or Mastercard account when the item is returned to you. Kindly send along with your project your complete street address, phone numbers, and your credit card number and expiration date. Following are some helpful guidelines and price estimates for our most frequently finished items.

Pillows - Either you can supply the fabric backing and trim, if wanted, or leave the selection to us. Silver Needle stocks a huge selection of appropriate fabrics, mostly solid colors, and has access to designer trims. We are well known for our ability to frame a small needlepoint project with fabric and trim to make an extravagant finished pillow. Prices start at $50.00 for our small boxed Heart and increase according to size, complexity, and trim selected.

Christmas Ornaments - Generally our ornaments are finished with our velvet backing, twisted cord edging and hanger, and bells, bows, and other appropriate decoration. If you prefer a simple, tailored look, that can be done as well, of course. Ornaments also can be finished as beanbags or standing figures if you prefer. We finish mini-stockings and Christmas balls with elaborate ornamentation. Prices start at $25.00

Christmas Stockings - Stockings are backed in our cotton velvet with a velvet cord around the edge and for the hanging loop. Linings are usually solid color moiré unless you supply a plaid or print you would like us to use. Prices vary from $90.00 to $125.00 depending upon size and color of backing.

Belts - Our belts are stitched (NOT GLUED) to a leather backing of your color choice. They generally have leather tabs on either end and a solid brass buckle. The stitched needlepoint should be 6 inches LESS than the finished belt size and you should not stitch any waste rows top or bottom. Every row stitched will show on the belt. We also can put grommets into the needlepoint rather than using leather tabs. For this you need 6 inches MORE needlepoint than the finished belt size. Generally belt finishing is $80.00. We also can usually change the size of an already finished belt if waist size necessitates this.
